Don Messick
Don Messick was a legendary American voice actor best known as the original voice of Scooby-Doo, a role he played from the character's debut in 1969 until he suffered a stroke in 1997. He also voiced Bamm-Bamm Rubble, Astro the Jetsons' dog, Papa Smurf, and dozens of other iconic Hanna-Barbera characters, making him one of the most heard voices in Saturday morning animation history.
